So happy are Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire, with the final proposals, that they have put forward the scheme for consideration in their national design competition awards!
The Noble Consultancy worked closely with Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire, leading the wider consultancy team in all design aspects.
The development parcel, Phase 4, Centre East, had several planning, client and contractual constraints that required careful consideration. The proposals respond to the parameters and principles established with the Outline planning permission as well as the Vale of White Horse District Council’s policies in relation to internal space and accessibility standards. The proposed housing mix also follows the approved Housing Delivery document.
The parcel’s location, between the local centre parcel to the west, the strategic park to the north and the adjacent residential parcels along the development edge required a subtle transition in character response across the parcel, which is reflected in the layout, form and appearance of dwellings.
We are looking forward to working with the Taylor Wimpey team again on the next project.
