Planning approval
The final 188 homes approved at The Poppies, Aylesford.
The Noble Consultancy secure planning approval for the third and final residential phase of the strategic mixed-use development at Hermitage Lane.
This comprises the first phase of a wider consent for up to 155 new homes that will follow on from previously approved Phases 1A and 1B.
Particular design considerations include; connections between approved and future development parcels, archaeological constraints, Public Footpath diversions and open space requirements to achieve Biodiversity Net Gain across the site.
Dual branded with both Barratt and David Wilson Homes, these homes will create two subtly different character areas, generating interest and aiding legibility.
A variety of landscaping features will be delivered, including a community orchard, a new network of safe and attractive foot and cycle paths through open space, wildflower meadows and buffer planting, to complement the built form and promote healthy lifestyles.
The approval will allow BDW Kent to maintain continuity of build, while proposals for Phase 2B, the third and final phase are drawn up.
An example of The Noble Consultancy making the seemingly difficult site look straight forward. We followed the approved parameter plans and developed a well thought out layout and set of attractive house types to gain swift approval.
